Sport and Play

The Parish Council is responsible for play areas at The Circle, Recreation Ground and Community Centre in Wickham and Victoria Mews, Greater Horseshoe Way, Consort Mews and Barbastelle Walk at Knowle

There are skateparks behind the Community Centre in Wickham and on the village green at Knowle.

Wickham has a floodlit all weather pitch (31x38m 3G rubber crumb artificial grass) on the grounds of Wickham Primary School. This is free to use weekdays 4.30-6pm and at weekends and during school holidays when there are no formal bookings.

The pitch is £30/hr to hire and is available to book from 6-9pm during the week and all day at the weekends and during school holidays.

The courts are run by Wickham Community Tennis Club, see their website for pay and play information and tennis activities available to the community and visitors.

There is a macadam multi-sports court at Knowle which is free to use. There are permanent football and basket ball goals and a removable tennis net available for residents to borrow. Contact the clerk for more information.
