Planning and Highways Committee

The Planning and Highways Committee considers all planning applications made within Wickham Parish boundary.

Decisions and comments are returned to Winchester City Council or Hampshire County Council depending on which is the relevant planning authority.

If the decision of the Parish Council differs from that of Winchester City Council Planning Officers, the planning application goes before their Planning Committee.

To make justifiable decisions and comments this committee needs an understanding of the planning process and a working knowledge of the Winchester District Local Plan.

This committee also keeps an eye on any unauthorised development and breaches of existing planning permission.
